A teenage boy from Poonch area has gone missing from Line of Control with police authorities suspecting his cross over to the Pakistan administered Kashmir.
The missing teenage boy has been identified as 16-year-old Muhammad Shabir son of Mohammad Bashir resident of Kaiyan Mohalla of Mandhar village on Line of Control in Poonch sector. Officials said that on 24 December, the said boy went missing from LoC after which a missing report was lodged in Poonch police station and investigation was set into motion but despite searches no trace of the missing boy could be found.
“Now we are almost having clarity that the boy inadvertently crossed over to the other side.” officials said.
“The boy went missing from LoC village and we have lodged a missing report.” SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral said. He added that boy crossed LoC inadvertently and moved to the other side and efforts are on for his return.
