Congress holds daylong conventions

The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) held two daylong conventions at Mendhar and Poonch on Monday.

PCC chief, Ghulam Ahmed Mir, chaired both the conventions. He was accompanied by other senior leaders, including Mula Ram, DrShakeel Khan, AkramChowdhary, ChowdharyGhani, AjazChowdhary, AmanullahZaffar, ParveenSarwar Khan, Zaffar-ullah, Sardar Majid Khan, Haji Imtiyaz Khan and Waseem Raja.

   

A large number of Congress party workers and locals attended the conventions.

During the conventions, the locals highlighted a number of issues. “The areas are facing developmental deficit due to poor governance by the previous state government and present central government,” they said.

Addressing the gatherings, the PCC chief said that the people across the country are ready to teach BharatiyaJanata Party a lesson in the next polls, as the party has “failed to fulfill the promises it made”.

Mir appealed to the people to strengthen the party at grass-root level and to support the party in polls.
