A man working as daily wager in municipal council Poonch was knocked to death on the Poonch highway on Saturday morning, police said.
They said, “An unidentified vehicle knocked a man riding a cycle at Jhulas road near Poonch town. The cyclist was killed on the spot.”
Police identified the deceased as Shri Parkash, son of Sheru and a resident of Delar, Poonch.
His body was later shifted to Poonch hospital, where medico-legal formalities were conducted, a police officer said, adding that an FIR has been registered and police are trying to find the man and vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.
