Some electronic voting machines across Rajouri district developed technical snags, resulting in interruption of voting.
In Bai Numbal polling booth of Khawas Budhal, a technicalsnag in the EVM was noticed soon after it was put in use in the morning hours.
Officials said that a reserve EVM was sent to the area,which reached the booth after one-and-a-half hour and thereafter pollingstarted.
Similarly in Gurdan Chawa polling stations located close toRajouri town, the EVM developed snags during start of polling, after which areserve EVM was sent to the area. That too developed snags, leading to chaos.
The locals alleged improper machines are being sent to theirarea. Later, a second replacement was sent to the area and polling ensued.
