Alleging failure of the public works department in carrying out necessary repairs, people in Gambhir Mughlan on Saturday evening repaired a road by pooling in money.
“The road from Ghaluti to Gala area of Gambhir Mughlan areahad been lying dilapidated since several years. Even after repeated requests tothe concerned authorities, nothing was done. This is why we pooled in money andrepaired the road ourselves,” the locals said.
Mohammad Sayeed Mughal, a local social activist, allegedthat the area has been sidelined by the concerned department.
“We too have the right to move on good roads, don’twe?” Mughal questioned.
