All the Zonal Education Officers of Rajouri district have ordered detachment of all the attached teachers and the concerned heads of institutions as well as drawing and disbursing officers have been asked to furnish reports in this regard.
The matter of large scale attachments in variousinstitutions of Education department in Rajouri district came to fore afterGreater Kashmir carried a news in its May 14 edition, in which it was reportedthat more than forty teachers, posted in schools across the district, remainattached in offices of department and are performing clerical jobs.
Taking note of the news, Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri,Mohammad Aijaz Asad personally visited several offices of the Educationdepartment and took stock of attachments.
On the basis of the inspection, the DC directed theEducation department to detach all the attached officials with immediate effectand to furnish a report in this regard.
Meanwhile, all the Zonal Education Officers of Rajouridistrict have issued orders for detachment of staff with immediate effect.
A similar order issued by the office of Zonal EducationOfficer, Thannamandi, gives reference of directions issued by Director SchoolEducation, Jammu, as well as Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, and order has beencommunicated to all the principals, headmasters of the zone.
They have been directed that attachments and deployments ofall the masters and teachers are hereby cancelled with immediate effect and allthe attached and deployed officials are directed to report to their originalplace of posting with information to zonal office of the department.
