Taking note of a news published in Greater Kashmir regarding the problems being faced by the people due to ongoing road widening work at Sathra, Tamra, which leads to severe traffic congestion, authorities have ordered to suspend the work for around three hours every day.
Greater Kashmir published a news about “ill-planned” roadwidening work at Sathra irking commuters in its April 16 edition, the authoritieson Wednesday ordered suspension of work for three hours a day.
Tehsildar Mandi, Javed Chowdhary, while quoting the deputycommissioner, Rahul Yadav, said, “An order has been issued from the office ofthe deputy commissioner wherein the work has been asked to remain suspendedwhen school students and employees commute on the road.”
He informed that the authorities have decided to keep thework suspended from 09:30 am to 11 am in the morning and 3:30 pm to 04:30 pm inthe evening.
