Govt terminates 5 medical officers

The Jammu and Kashmir government Thursday terminated five Casualty Medical Officers (CMOs) after they failed to report at Government Medical College, Rajouri.

An order issued from the Health and Medical Educationdepartment read, “On January 16, 2019, Mushtaq Ahmed Sheikh, Nancy Sharma,Muhammad Tariq, Ibrar Ahmed Khan and Ghulam Hassan Mir were appointed asCasualty Medical Officers in Government Medical College, Rajouri. Subsequently,the Principal of the GMC reported that the doctors submitted their joiningreport in the GMC, but did not report thereafter.”

   

The doctors, the order states, were also absent during theinspection conducted by Medical Council of India on May 3, 2019.
