Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged gun fire on Thursday evening in Mendhar sector while uneasy calm prevailed on Line of Control in Rajouri district.
As per details, from 08:30 pm to 09 pm, a brief exchange of gun fire took place between two sides on forward posts of Mankote area of Mendhar KG sector.
“Only small arms firing was reproted,” said a source, adding no injury or loss of life was reported .
Meanwhile, amid heavy rains, LoC in Rajouri witnessed uneasy calm with no fresh incident of ceasefire violation reported today.
Earlier, Indo-Pak troops exchanged heavy gun fire and mortar shelling in various areas of Nowshera sector since Wednesday late evening during which a large number of shells landed in villages close to LoC, spreading panic in the area.
