Indo-Pak troops exchange heavy fire in Keri, Nowshera

The armies of India and Pakistan exchanged heavy gunfirealong the Line of Control in Keri and Nowshera sectors, officials said Tuesday.

They said, “Exchange of fire started at about 11:30 PM onMonday in Keri sector and continued till early morning hours on Tuesday.”

   

During the cross-border fire, heavy mortar shelling alsotook place in the area, rattling the entire LoC belt, from Doongi, Keri to Lam.

However, no loss of life or injury was reported.

Similarly, cross-border firing and shelling started onMonday evening in Kalsian and others forward areas of Nowshera sector. Smallarms as well as heavy mortars shells were being exchanged when last reportspoured in.
