Residents of Karnah village area of Mendhar staged a demonstration against the Public Health Engineering department on Wednesday and blocked the main road of the area.
The agitating villagers, including women and children, assembled on Naka Manjari-Harni road at Karnah and blocked it. They also raised slogans against PHE department, accusing it for failing to ensure proper water supply.
After more than one-and-a-half hour long protest, SHO Harni reached the spot and informed the protesting people that their issue has been taken up with senior authorities. He assured them that their water related problem will be resolved soon.
On this assurance, the protest was called off.
