Several areas of this district including the main town continued witnessed strict curbs on Monday amid aggressive contact tracing in all the red zones.
An official said Darhal tehsil headquarter, Draj and Samote villages of Kotranka tehsil, Peeri area of Kotranka tehsil, Sunderbani town and two peripheral villages of Sunderbani tehsil were among several areas whoich have been put under complete lockdown.
“Inward and outward movement of people as well as vehicular movement in all these areas has been restricted. Only government officials from essential category departments, patients and cases of medical emergencies are allowed to move, that too after verification.” the official said.
He said police nakas have been raised at all roads and streets in zones.
The official said aggressive contact tracing was going on in all the red zones while active contacts of people found positive in recent days were being traced and sent for testing.
