Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Ranbir Singh on Monday visited forward bases and posts along Line of Control in Akhnoor and Rajouri sectors, an Army spokesman said in a statement.
He said that the Army commander was accompanied by WhiteKnight corps commander, Lt Gen Paramjit Singh and other field commanders ofboth Rajouri and Akhnoor sectors.
“During the visit to the two sectors, the Army commander wasbriefed by the commanders on ground about the current operational situation,prevailing security scenario and the preparedness of the formations in dealingwith the same,” the spokesman added.
The Army commander interacted with the soldiers andcomplimented them for their unwavering dedication to duty, selfless devotionand high standard of professionalism.
