A 35-year-old man drowned in a river at Gambhir Brahmana village of Manjakote tehsil in Rajouri.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Mukhtar son ofMohammad Bashir of Niaka Panjgrian village of the area, police said.
He drowned in Suktoh river at Gambhir village while he wason way to perform his duties at a GREF site.His body was later fished out and brought toRajouri hospital for medico-legal formalities after which it was handed over tohis family for last rites. Police said that investigation into the matter hasbeen started by a team of Manjakote police station.
