A Mega Medical cum Certificate issuance camp was today hosted here at Budhal block by Health Department under the aegis of Block Medical Officer Kotranka Dr. Iqbal Malik.
In the camp, a total of 192 old age certificates for pension and other allied purposes such as fitness Certificate, illness and widow pension certificate were issued on the spot.
The team of Doctors also examined and treated more than 163 patients having different ailments including mental illness and provided free medicine including laboratory tests.
Community Health Officer, Kandi, Ayoub Lone, delivered a lecture on personal hygiene, importance of sanitation, Breastfeeding, precautions against HIV-AIDS, Save Girl Child scheme, use of iodized salt, the benefit of institution Delivery, Age of marriage, Mental Health, and detail of Health Schemes and programs .
Panchayat representatives, Manzoor Ahmed Naik and Mohammad Shabir (Sarpanchs) and other civil society members of the area hailed the health department for holding health camp in the far-flung area, which lack sufficient Medicare facilities.
