A man who had gone missing from a forest area in Chunga-Charoon village was found dead in the village on Tuesday.
A police officer said, “48-year-old Mohammad Farooq, son ofAllah Ditta and a resident of Chunga-Charoon left his home to collect fire woodfrom a nearby forest area on Monday morning, but did not return.”
Later in the evening, the officer said, his family membersand relatives launched a search operation to trace the man’s whereabouts,during which they found him lying dead.
A police team conducted legal formalities, after which thebody was handed over to the family for last rites.
