No traffic plied on Mughal Road for the sixth consecutive day on Tuesday because a stretch of the road near Pir Ki Gali is still under snow although more than 40kms from Bufliyaz to Pir Ki Gali have been cleared.
The majority of the vehicles are stranded on the snow-bound stretch, mostly fruit-laden trucks. An official in the Poonch administration said the snow will be cleared by Wednesday afternoon.
Because of snowfall, the road was closed for traffic on Sunday. More than 150 persons, mostly truckers, were rescued in two days by authorities.
