Mughal road reopens for one-way traffic after a week

The historic Mughal road re-opened for one-way traffic on Monday after remaining closed for a week due to heavy snowfall, officials said.

Additional deputy commissioner Shopian, Shabir Bhat told Greater Kashmir that snow has been cleared from the road up to Peer Ki Gali spot.

He said that the commuters have been asked to clear Peer Ki Gali between 10 am and 4 PM.

The road was closed on November 11 after snowfall and slippery conditions on the thoroughfare that connects Shopian district of south Kashmir with Rajouri in Jammu division.
