Mughal Road reopens for traffic after eight-day closure

Mughal Road reopened for traffic on Thursday after remaining closed for eight days due to heavy snowfall.

An official said they were trying to clear the stranded vehicles from the road before allowing general traffic movement.

   

Executive engineer Mughal road project, Maqbool Hussain told Greater Kashmir that snow was cleared from Buflilyaz-Surankote to Pir Ki Gali late last evening.

The road, which connects Poonch with Shopian district of Kashmir was closed for traffic in the intervening night of October 31 and November 1 after heavy snowfall.
