One person died while eleven other sustained injuries when agoods carrier vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident at UchadSalhotri, police said.
A police official said that a TaTa Mobile (JK02AH) was onits way from Salaini to Sakhi Maidan to attend a fair when it plunged into adeep gorge, resulting in death of one person and injuries to 11 others.
Block Medical Officer (BMO) Mendhar, Dr Parvez Khanconfirmed that 45-year-old Said Mohammad son of Mohammad Bashir was broughtdead to the hospital, while 11 others were admitted in the hospital withinjuries.
Meanwhile, after preliminary treatment, he said that four ofthe seriously injured passengers were referred to GMC Associated Hospital,Rajouri for advanced treatment.
Police have registered a case under relevant sections of thelaw and taken up further investigation.
