Police warns stern action over sensitive social media posts

Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri district has warned of stern action against people involved in uploading sensitive posts on social media platforms.

Senior superintendent of police, Yougal Manhas said thatduring past few days, it has been noticed that a few people are misusing socialmedia platforms to upload sensitive content which can become a grave threat topeace in the district .

   

Such people are uploading sensitive contents on social mediaplatforms especially Facebook, making sensitive comments on status of otherpeople or organisations, said SSP Rajouri.

“Keeping this in view, Jammu and Kashmir police strictlywarns all the users active on social media platforms not to post any sensitivematerial which can become a threat to peace and order,”, he said.

Anyone found violating the norms and uploading sensitivematerial, content or comments on social media will be dealt strictly under lawand stern action will be initiated without any laxity, SSP further said.

“Parents are specially advised to brief their children notto share such content on social media which can hurt the sentiments of anycommunity or a section of society, instigate people to protest or go againstnational security and sovereignty”, SSP added.
