Five structures gutted in different areas of this district in fire incidents in the last 36 hours.
An official said on Saturday afternoon seasonal migration structure, dhok, located at Chattro higher reaches caught fire and gutted completely.
The official said a case have been registered in Manjakote police station as there were reports that the structure was set to fire by some miscreants.
On Saturday evening large quantity of cotton and other commodities kept on rooftop of a house owned by Sanjay Kumar of GurdhanMorh caught fire.
“Timely action of fire and emergency services averted flames from spreading to other areas.” the official said. This morning house of Muhammad Yousuf of GurhaSankari village caught fire and gutted completely.
“Although fire tender was rushed to the spot, the house was gutted completely,” said the official.
On the other hand, the official said a residential house and cattle shed of Rashid Mohammad of KotedharaPunda Naka village caught fire on Sunday evening and gutted in the incident.
“Three buffaloes, one cow and one goat were charred alive whereas some cattle suffered injuries in the incident,” the official said.
Rajouri Fire Station Officer, MaqboolHussain said fire tenders were rushed to all areas where fire incidents were reported.
