District Development Commissioner, Rahul Yadav today chaired a meeting of officers and representatives of religious organizations to discuss arrangements for holy month of Ramzan.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Adil Hamid, ACR BashirAhmed Lone and other officers were present in the meeting.
The representatives of the religious organizations apprisedDDC about their demands. They sought uninterrupted water and power supply,security arrangements, better sanitation and strict check on quality and ratesof essential commodities and vegetables, an official handout said.
The DDC instructed Executive Officers of MC to ensurecleanliness and sanitation in and around Mosques and Eidgahs.
The legal metrology, Food safety and Municipalityauthorities were asked to work in synergy to carry out market checking tomonitor quality of eatables besides keeping a strict vigil on overcharging ofcommodities. He asked the officers of food and supply department to ensureadequate supply of ration during Ramzan. Medical Superintendent districthospital was asked to provide Ambulance and better health facility during Holydays.
PDD and PHE departments were asked to ensure adequate powerand water supply.
