Jammu and Kashmir police on Sunday claimed to have arrested an accused in a rape case, who had been evading arrest since eleven years.
A police officer said, “On the basis of an information from district special branch, a team of police, from Kandi police station, led by station house officer, ManzoorKohli, raided a location and succeeded in arresting an absconder, who was wanted in a rape case.”
The officer identified the accused as 35-year-old TalibHussain. He was evading arrest since 2007, the officer added.
