Multiple protests were staged in Rajouri town and Surankote over the gang rape and murder of a minor in Rasana village of Kathua.
The locals demanded that the culprits should be given death penalty for all the accused.
In Surankote, the local youth took out a protest rally which passed through the main market while holding placards which had messages of swift justice for the victim. They also raised slogans against Jammu and Kathua Bar Associations as well as against Choudhary Lal Singh and Chander Prakash Ganga, BJP leaders.
Meanwhile, a protest march was taken out by the local youth of Rajouri town which was led by youth leader Tazeem Dar and Awais Ganai. During this protest march, slogans demanding justice for the victim were raised and a fast-track court trial was demanded.
Similarly, a candle light march was also taken out from children park of Rajouri town. Demand for fast-track court trial as well as death penalty for all the accused was put forth.
