Several educational institutions in Rajouri and Poonch district will remain closed on Wednesday with regard to the forthcoming elections, while private education institutions in Rajouri have also been asked to keep their buses ready for use by the election authorities.
In an order, chief education officer, Poonch, has directedthat all the schools occupied by forces on election duty and all the schoolsfrom where most of the staff members have been deputed on election duty be keptclosed on Wednesday.
In its order, the CEO mentioned that the office of districtelection commissioner has issued directions for keeping the educationalinstitutions closed on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, in Rajouri district, the education department hasordered that all educational institutions be closed on Wednesday. The order hasbeen issued by the chief education officer Rajouri on the basis of directionsfrom district election authorities.
In the order, the education department has also askedprivate education institutions to keep their vehicles available for electionduties.
Pertinently, elections for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat willbe held under first phase on April 11.
