Teenage sisters from PaK repatriated

A day after two teenage sisters from Pakistan Administered Kashmir inadvertently crossed into this side of the Line of Control in Poonch sector, Indian army on Monday repatriated the duo from Chakan Da Bagh as a goodwill gesture.

17 year old Laiba Zubair and her 13 year old sister Sana Zubair crossed the LoC on Sunday morning and were detained by army troops guarding the border line.

   

“The duo inadvertently crossed the LoC and were detained without any harm,” Jammu based PRO of Indian army had said on Sunday.

After completion of legal formalities, Indian army alongside women officers from army, women cops and magistrate repatriated the duo from Chakan Da Bagh LoC crossing point. “Officers of Pak army, a magistrate from the area and female officers from the PaK side were also present who received the sisters,” said officials.

They added that gift packs, clothes and sweets were also handed over to the teenage sisters by Indian army as a goodwill gesture.
