Three Kashmiri youth detained in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir

Three youth hailing from south Kashmir’s Shopian district were detained by the police after they were moving “suspiciously” in a village near the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district.

A source said the youth – all residents of Imam Sahib tehsilof Shopian – were detained last evening from Bareri village of Nowsherafollowing a complaint by the locals.

   

He said a police team from Nowshera police station rushed tothe village after the locals informed them that the youth were movingsuspiciously.

“All three youth were detained on the spot and taken toNowshera police station,” said the source.

Senior superintendent of police Rajouri, Yougal Manhas saidthat the youth are being questioned and more details will be shared later.
