Lone Star Kashmir FC fell short of registering their first win of this season’s Second Division I-League as they were held to 1-1 draw by visitors Delhi United FC at Synthetic Turf TRC ground here on Sunday.

To watch super Sunday clash of national level football, sizeable number of spectators had thronged the venue and they were not disappointed by the quality of football at display.

Aakif Reshi gave Lone Star lead in 28 minute through a goal. At half time, Lone Star were leading by 1-0 goals. Delhi United FC went on to level score in Kouame Konan Zacharie in 83rd minute of the game.

After having played seven matches in the league this season, Lone Star have suffered five defeats and have been able to draw two. They have only two points in bag and stand at bottom of the points table in Group-A.

The only next I-League match scheduled to be played in Kashmir is now between two local I-League teams Real Kashmir and Lone Star on April 26.
