2nd Div I-League|Lone Star suffered 2-0 defeat against FC Goa

FC Goa Reserves inflicted 2-0 defeat on hosts Lone Star Kashmir FC in the match of the second division I-League at SMVD sports complex Katra, Jammu on Wednesday.

Playing its third home, Lone Star failed to take fulladvantage of the early pressure created as they went down by 2-0.

   

In the first half, hosts got couple of close chances toscore but were unable to convert them into goals. At half time score was 0-0.

In second half, when it looked like that match will turn outas goalless draw, FC Goa went on to score two back to back goals.  

Hayden Fernandes scored first goal of match in 81st minutewhile as Aaren D Silva doubled lead in 84th minute. After that no goal wasscored and FC Goa emerged winner by 2-0.

If Lone Star would have won this match they would have booked their place in the next round of the league. They will now play ARA FC on April 6. The winner of that match will qualify for the next round.

While as Lone Star can qualify even after a draw with one point advantage, for ARA FC only win cane make them move into next round.
