2nd Division League|Lone Star Kashmir FC to take on TRAU FC today

Lone Star Kashmir FC is going to take on TRAU FC in its home fixture of second division I-League final round match at Synthetic Turf TRC Ground here on Sunday.

It will be the fourth match of final round for Lone Star whohad surprised many by qualifying for the final round. So far in the previousthree matches, Lone Star has suffered two defeats while the third one was draw.

   

In the first match, Lone Star suffered 3-0 at the hand ofOzone FC in Bangalore while in the second match they were defeated by TRAU FCby 4-1 goals at Khuman Lampak Stadium in Manipur. 

In the last match which was played at TRC Ground, Lone StarFC were held to 1-1 draw by Mizoram side of Chhinga Veng Football Club.

At present Lone Star in the group of four teams stand atbottom with only one point while TRAU FC is at the top spot.

They have nine points from three games and are on way tomake their entry into I-League.

The chances of Lone Star look bleak with only three gamesleft and they are yet to register a single win.

“In last match which was our home tie, we conceded goal inlast moments against Chhinga Veng. It shattered our hopes of qualifying for theI-League. There are still slight chances but that depends on variouspermutations and combinations during the game,” said a club official.

“The qualification into final round has given everyone ahope. The owners of the club are backing it fully now and have got vision forfuture as well. The preparations for next season would be started early andclub will have very good chances of making it to I-League,” he said.
