The four-day second State Jeet Kune Do championship was inaugurated on Tuesday at Sheri-Kashmir Indoor Stadium here on Tuesday.
In the event around 800 participants from different districts of Jammu and Kashmir are participating. The event is being organized J&K State Jeet Kune Do Association and Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Unified Martial Arts (JKAUMA).
The players who will be selected in this State championship will be qualified to participate in the upcoming National championship of the martial arts form.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Shahid Iqbal Choudhary was the chief guest at the opening ceremony he lauded ‘Drugs out, Sports In’ initiative launched by JKAUMA and assured full support from the government in promoting healthy living through martial arts and fighting drug addiction.
