2nd State Jeet Kune Do championship begins

The four-day second State Jeet Kune Do championship was inaugurated on Tuesday at Sheri-Kashmir Indoor Stadium here on Tuesday.

In the event around 800 participants from differentdistricts of Jammu and Kashmir are participating. The event is being organizedJ&K State Jeet Kune Do Association and Jammu and Kashmir Academy of UnifiedMartial Arts (JKAUMA).

   

The players who will be selected in this State championshipwill be qualified to participate in the upcoming National championship of themartial arts form.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Shahid Iqbal Choudhary was thechief guest at the opening ceremony he lauded ‘Drugs out, Sports In’ initiativelaunched by JKAUMA and assured full support from the government in promotinghealthy living through martial arts and fighting drug addiction.
