The Srinagar Games of the Deaf-2019 organised by Association of Deaf and Dumb which is affiliated with All J&K Sports Association of the Deaf and recognized by J&K State Sports Council concluded here at SK Indoor Complex here on Wednesday.
The event conducted in collaboration with the J&K StateSports Council started on Tuesday and in it hundreds of thephysically-challenged (deaf and dumb) participated in games like volleyball,badminton, long jump, javelin throw, discuss throw, short put, 100 metre race,chess, carom etc.
In 100 metre (senior) race Ajaz Sofi finished first while asWajahat and Taseen finished second and third. In 100 metre race boys (junior),Ateeb Bashir finished first while as Burhaan and Murtaza finished second andthird respectively. In 100 metre race girls (junior), Imza finished first whileas Khushboo finished second and Sadiya third.
In Javelin throw boys (senior] Munaqib bagged first placewhile as Sameer second. In shot put boys (senior), Sameer bagged first positionwhile as Munaqib and Syed Sintan bagged second and third positionsrespectively. In discuss throw boys (senior). Munaqib bagged first positionwhile as Sameer bagged second and Syed Sibtain third. In volleyball, Srinagaremerged out as winner.
At the concluding function, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr.Shahid Iqbal Choudhary- the chief guest distributed prizes among the winners.
