64th National School Games-Football: Meghalaya thrash J&K by 7-0 goals

During the day, 10 group fixtures and four pre-quarterfinals were played. In the first match of the day, Meghalaya defeated J&K by 7 -0 goals.

In the ongoing 64th National School Games for Under 17 yrs (boys) organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, 14 matches were held at different venues of Jammu on Thursday.

 During the day, 10 group fixtures and four pre-quarterfinals were played. In the first match of the day, Meghalaya defeated J&K by 7 -0 goals.

In other matches, Maharashtra beat Delhi by 2-1 goals, Bihar beat IBSO by 3-0 goals, Andaman beat IPSC by 3 -2 goals. In the fifth match, Jharkhand beat Puducherry by 5-0 goals while as CISCE was held to 0-0 draw by Karnatka in sixth match. Also, Chandigarh beat Madhya Pradesh by 1-0 goals while as West Bengal beat Uttrakhand by 1-0 goals. Likewise, Punjab beat NVS by 11- 0 goals while as Uttar Pradesh beat Andra Pradesh by 3-0 goals.

In the first Pre-quarterfinal of the day, Madhya Pradesh beat Odisha by 1- 0 goals while as in second pre-quarterfinal, Bihar beat Punjab by 1-0 goals. The third pre-quarterfinal, West Bengal beat Chhattisgarh by 1-0 goals.
