Team win 6 medals in All India Police Water Sports Championship

ADGP Armed J&K AK Choudhary, today felicitated J&K Police Water Sports team at Armed Police Headquarters J&K for winning three gold, one silver and two bronze medals in 17th All India Police Water Sports Championship held at Upper Lake Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh from December 5 to 9.

Among the medal winners, constable AdilMohi-ud-Din bagged one gold, one silver and one bronze in C-1 200 mtrs event, C-1 500 mtrs event and C-1 1000 mtrs event respectively.

In K-2 200 mtrs event teams of Zahoor Ahmad HC Parveiz Ahmad bagged gold medal.

In K-4 200 mtrs event, team of Zahoor Ahmad, Parveiz Ahmad, AsinHussain and Sajad Ahmad bagged gold medal. In C-2 500 mtrs event team of AdilMohi-ud-Din and Altaf Ahmad bagged bronze medal.

Pertinently J&K Police Water Sports team secured overall third position in 17th All India Police Water Sports Championship in which 25 teams of different State Police and Central para-military forces including ITBP, BSF, CRPF and SSB participated. BSF team stood overall, winner whereas CRPF team secured 2nd position in the championship.

The ADGP also emphasized for regular practice and constant coaching to the team to make it more proficient in future. Muhammad YaseenKichloo, SSP Staff Officer to ADGP Armed J&K and Majid MehboobDySP Sports APHQ J&K who were also present on the occasion congratulated the players of J&K Police Water Sports team who excelled in the championship.
