AIFF suspends I-League matches

After Real Kashmir FC and TRAU FC match was disallowed and with uncertainty over holding of other matches, All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Saturday decided to suspended I-League matches and all its activities from March 15 onwards across the Country.

“Adhering to the advisories issued by the Ministry of Health& Family Welfare, and directives from several State Governments, allfootballing activities under the aegis of AIFF stay suspended till March 31,2020,”a statement from the AIFF reads.

   

“AIFF understands and prioritizes the importance of humanhealth and life, an area which AIFF will never compromise upon. The AIFF willtake stock of the situation in the last week of March, and take a decisionabiding by directives from relevant authorities at that juncture,” statementsaid.

“All I-League matches have been suspended from March 15,2020, onwards. Furthermore, all 2nd division, Youth Leagues Golden BabyLeagues, as well as National Competitions, also stay suspended with immediateeffect,” it added.
