Real Kashmir FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Kashmir Maharaja FC in premier division match of annual football league at synthetic Turf TRC ground here on Saturday.
Real Kashmir started the match on aggressive note puttingearly pressure on Maharaja defence and nearly scored an early goal but Maharajakeeper made an excellent save. Despite attacks and counter attacks from bothsides, first half ended in a goalless draw but aggressive play from both teamsresulted in one player each of Maharaja and Real Kashmir being booked forserious offences and were shown red cards.
Although both sides were reduced to 10 men by the end of thefirst half, yet the second half did not lose any steam as both the teams kepton playing aggressively and looking for the goals. And in the 66th minute ofsecond half, Maharaja FC were able to break the deadlock as Shahir made nomistake in opening the account for the side. Making a brilliant counter move,Real Kashmir equalized within a minute. Match ended in 1-1 draw.
Earlier in the super division match, Hyderiya FC and J&KSRTC XI played 1-1 goal.
