Another JKCA selector resigns

Former cricketer and member of four member selection committee, Dhruv Mahajan had tendered his resignation recently, another selector Vidya Bhaskar followed the suit and resigned from selector’s post.

Days after one-member of J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) senior selection committee resigned, another selector from Jammu region tendered his resignation on Wednesday.

Former cricketer and member of four member selection committee, Dhruv Mahajan had tendered his resignation recently, another selector Vidya Bhaskar followed the suit and resigned from selector’s post.

Vidya Bhaskar who is former Ranji trophy player has submitted his resignation to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), JKCA administrator, Justice CK Prasad and JKCA, chief executive officer, Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari.

JKCA is about to announce its team for Vijay Hazare trophy one-day tournament in next couple of days. Now the selection committee comprises of only two members, chairman SP Qaiser and Zahoor Bhat both belong to Kashmir region. 

Pertinently both members have cited “interference” by Irfan Pathan in selection process as one of the reasons for their resignation. Irfan Pathan is J&K’s mentor cum player for the season and has been training J&K cricketers from past three months.'
