BCC Bijbehara, Dawood Bijbehara win matches

Srinagar: In the ongoing SDA Drabu invitational cricket championship-2006, two matches were played on Sunday.
In the first match of the day, BCC Bijbehara defeated Kashmir Sporty Bijbehara by one wicket in a nail biting finish.
BCC won the toss and put Kashmir Sports into bat. They scored 170 runs in the allotted 30 overs for the loss of nine-wickets. Showkat with 39 runs was the highest scorer for the batting team. For BCC, Fahad, Mudasir, Adil and Imtiyaz claimed two wickets each.
In reply, BCC achieved the target in last over with last pair on crease. Showkat (51) and Sajad (41) played crucial innings for the winning team. For Kashmir Sports, Ashraf, Imtiyaz, Mushtaq and Manzoor bagged two wickets each. Showkat of BCC was adjudged man of the match for his knock of 51 runs.
In the second match, Dawood Bijbehara beat National Bulls Srinagar by 7-wickets. Dawood Bijbehara won the toss and put the opposite team in. They were bowled out for 164 in 28.4 overs. Younis (58) and Bilal (31) were the highest scorers for the batting team. Altaf and Suhail claimed three and two wickets respectively for the bowling team.
Chasing the target, Dawood Bijbehear scored the required runs in 20.4 overs for the loss of just 3-wickets. Opener Shakeel played a match winning innings of 89 unbeaten from just 65 balls. He was declared man of the match for his brilliant knock.
