District Administration Budgam is going to organize a mega women marathon under the banner ‘Nai Soch’ on 3rd August.
In this regard, DDC Budgam Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar on Thursdaychaired a meeting and took stock of preparations for the event. Among otherspresent in the meeting were ADC Budgam, CPO, ACD along with other officers andofficials of concerned departments.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC said, “The event will be heldunder the banner Nai Soch that we pledge no gender discrimination. A series ofsuch programmes will also be held in future as well”.
Dr. Asgar instructed all the concerned departments tocoordinate and cooperate with each other so as to make the event successful.Various tasks associated with the event were assigned to departments.
Around 600 female students in the age group of 14 and 25years are expected to participate in the event. The marathon will start at 7:30A.M. from New Bus Adda, Budgam, and after passing through Railway Stationcrossing via Karipora crossing, DC Office Road, will culminate at SportsStadium Budgam, where Chief Justice of J&K High Court will preside over theconcluding ceremony.
