District Cricket Forum (DCF) Shopian and Pulwama have welcomed the redrafting of JKCA Constitution that provides for equal rights to all districts of the State.
“DCF Shopian appreciates the efforts of JKCA CEO Syed AshiqBakhari, for fighting for the cause of cricketers across the State of J&K. It is due to his efforts and struggle that the recommendations of Lodha Committee headed by Justice Lodha have been implemented by way of amendment in the Constitution of JKCA,” a statement issued by DCF Shopian Secretary Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah read.
“By this amendment, district cricket fora will get their due representation and the cricket activities across J&K will get a boost,” it added. DCF Pulwama statement said that the districts have been pleading for this change from decades as the move will reform the cricket of the State from the grass root level and cricketers from small villages, towns, will get better opportunities. Moreover, the amendment will open new avenues for nourishment of the budding cricketers.
Cricket Forum Pulwama is highly thankful to the worthy CEO for his tiresome efforts to make this really happen. Hope the change will lead the cricket of the state to new heights, it added.
