DGP felicitates police golf team for winning All-India Police Golf Tournament 2018

Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh has felicitated J&K Police golf team for emerging overall champion in the 22nd All-India Police Golf Tournament 2018, which was organized by BSF under the aegis of the All India Police Sports Control Board at Jaypee Greens Golf Course, Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh.

The team led by IGP Security Alok Kumar, today called on DGP at PHQ here and presented the winner rolling trophies in presence of senior police officers.

   

The winning team comprising Alok Kumar, IGP, CIV PHQ Ashkoor Ahmed Wani and SSP Pawan Parihar bagged four prizes in the tournament and became overall champions of a national-level competition for the first time.

In the tournament, while Alok Kumar emerged as runner-up in Net Individual category, it was  Pawan Parihar who emerged as the winner in Gross Individual category. Besides, Alok Kumar and Pawan Parihar emerged winners in Net Team category. Pawan Kumar also bagged the Best Golfer of the tournament award.    

On the occasion, DGP congratulated the team for bringing laurels to the department, as it emerged the champion of the tournament after competing with the best golfers of BSF, Assam Riffles, SPG, NSG, CRPF and other police forces. He wished them good luck for the future competitions.
