DGP felicitates Wushu players Bhanu Partap, Handoo

Both the officials were in the National Coaching camp at different SAI Centers since May 20. Prior to the participation for the prestigious event, they both along with Indian team attended one month Foreign Exposure training at China.

DGP felicitates Wushu players Bhanu Partap, Handoo

DGP J&K, K Rajendra Kumar, felicitated Wushu player Surya Bhanu Partap Singh and Kuldeep Handoo (Chief Coach of India) at PHQ J&K Jammu today for securing silver medal in the 8th Wushu World Cup-2016 held at Xian, China from November 1 to 7.

Both the officials were in the National Coaching camp at different SAI Centers since May 20. Prior to the participation for the prestigious event, they both along with Indian team attended one month Foreign Exposure training at China.

Bhanu Partap is working with J&K Police since 2015 and has won 4 medals in the International Championships during the current year. He has also won the bronze medal in 13th World Wushu championship-2015, gold medal in12th SAF Games -2016 and silver medal in Masters Challenge Cup at Macau-2016.

Kuldeep Handoo as Chief Coach of India in Wushu for the year 2015-16 include winning of 3 silver and 1 bronze medals in13th World Wushu Championship, 11 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals in 12th SAF Games,   4 silver, 5 bronze medals in 9th Asian Wushu Championship-2016 at Taiwan, 4 silver, 1 bronze medals in 8th Wushu World Cup-2016 at China and 1 silver medal in Masters Challenge Cup-2016 at Macau.                                                  

DGP congratulated both the officials for their outstanding performance in the international arena and assured full support to them from the department.

Among others present on the occasion were VK Singh-IPS, ADGP Hqrs, L Mohanty-IPS, ADGP Armed J&K, HK Lohia-, IGP Technical Services J&K, Ranjeet Kalra (VP) Wushu Association of J&K and Jigmet, DySP Sports APHQ J&K also congratulated Surya Bhanu Partap Singh and Kuldeep Handoo for their remarkable achievement in the 8th Wushu World Cup-2016.
