The district-level inter-zonal school painting competition in the age groups of U-14, 17 and 19 was organized by department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Anantnag on Tuesday in Anantnag.
In the event around 200 students from 12 educational zonesand higher secondary schools of the district participated. The competition wasinaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Kh. Nazir Ahmad alongwith international cricketer Parvez Rasool.
Speaking on the occasion ADC laid stress on preserving thewater resources.
Later, a presentation ceremony was held along the banks inwhich DYSS District officer Anantnag Noor ul Haq gave away prizes to the first four positionsin each age group.
