First-ever Kabbadi event under lights in Kashmir, Rafiabad Pro Kabbadi championship was played at Reban ground on Monday. The championship was organised by Youth Committee of Reban, Rafiabad in which 16 teams from four districts of Kashmir province took part including teams from Baramulla, Budgam, Bandipora and kupwara.
The Inaugural match of the championship was played betweenHaripora Handwara and Nowpora Rafiabad teams. Both the teams playedaggressively from the beginning, but it was Nowpora Rafiabad team thatsucceeded to get 56 points against 41 points scored by Haripora thereby winningthe match by a margin of 15 points. Umar from Haripora team was announced bestraider of the match.
