Football coach joins WHO Safe Hands Challenge on Covid-19

Kashmiri football coach Tariq Madni has joined the hygiene bandwagon and followed the latest social media trend ‘Safe Hands Challenge’ initiated by the World Health Organization (WHO) in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

The challenge involveswashing hands with soap or using alcohol based sanitizer and posting a video ofit.

   

Madni shared a video in which he can be seen washing hishands thoroughly with soap, as suggested by experts, to prevent the spread ofthe novel coronavirus.

In the 2 minute and 40 second video, Madni explained thathand washing is one of the practical measures that people can take to protectthemselves from getting infected. He went on to demonstrate the process ofeffective washing.

Madni, renowned foot player and coach is presently renderinghis services for Solina Football Club, Rahim Green Football Club and is also asecretary of District Football Association Srinagar.

 “My intention behindto join the campaign is to encourage my people to wash hands effectively andfrequently. At the same time, I want to engage my players with some activity asI posed them challenge that person recording video of best and effective handwashing would be rewarded,” he said.

In the rest of thecountry, public figures have also joined the WHO Safe Hands challenge andposted videos on various social networking sites.
