In the ongoing state annual football league, JKSPDC XI defeated Arco FC 5-2 on Wednesday, here at Synthetic Turf TRC ground.
Two matches were played on the day, with the firstwitnessing a close contest between Syed Tajuddin FC and Safaloo FC.
In the first match, Irfan and Feroz scored for Syed TajjudinFC, while Mohammad Amin and Altaf Rashid netted goals for Safaloo FC.
In the second match of the day, JKSPDC XI defeated Arco FCby 5-2 goals.
In the 25th minute, Shakir opened the score for JKSPDC, butKamran equalized in the 40th minute to put the match at 1-1.
Only a minute after Arco FC’s first goal, Yasir restored thelead for JKSPDC and in the 43rd minute, Imad made it 3-1. Soon, Shakir nettedhis second goal of the day to send JKSPDC with a 4-1 lead at halftime.In the second half, Imad was at it again,scoring his second and the team’s fifth goal in 49th minute. In the 59thminute, Arco got one back through Mehraj-u Din. The match ended at 5-2.
