The J&K Forest football team players held demonstration here on Tuesday demanding regularization of their services.
The nine footballers were demanding regularization of theirservices in the Forest department where they have been serving for 16 years.
“Despite having been playing for last more than 16 years forthe Forest football team our services are not being regularized and our futurelooks dark. During our stay with the team we have brought many laurels for thedepartment as well as State but in return we have got nothing,” said protestingplayers.
It was in year 2003-04 that Forest department did newrecruitment into the Forest football team and selected best availablefootballers in State at that time. It rejuvenated the team and changed itsfortunes at state and National level.
