A 10-year-old boy from Ganderbal district of central Kashmir has won silver medal in Thai boxing national championship held in Punjab early this month.
Kaleem Reyaz from Manigam village of Ganderbal won silver medal by storming into the finals of the Thai boxing National Federation Cup which was held in Punjab between 4-6 January.
“We are happy and proud that our son has achieved this feat and done well in the championship” Reyaz Ahmed, father of Kaleem told Greater Kashmir.
He said that considering the outstanding performance of Kaleem, selectors have named him for World Thai boxing Championship, which will be held in Goa next month.
