Government Degree College (GDC) Sopore has booked its place in the final of the ongoing Inter-College Rolling Trophy cricket final.
The GDC Sopore defeated GDC Ganderbal in the second semifinalof the tournament at Islamia College playfield Hawal here.
Batting first GDC Sopore team scored 131 runs for the lossof six wickets. Mudasir with 44 runs was highest scorer for them while as LoneMudasir scored 21. For Ganderbal College, Aqib Baba and AqibManzoor took twowickets each. Chasing a target of 132 runs Ganderbal fell short of target by 11runs. The tournament is sponsored by J&K Higher Education Department and isbeing organized by the Department of Physical Education the Islamia College ofScience and Commerce Srinagar. The final between the host Islamia College andGDC Sopore will be played on March 10.
